Scott’s Appliance Services – Terms and Services

Welcome to Scott’s Appliance Services. These Terms and Services govern the provision of appliance repair and related services provided by Scott’s Appliance Services (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By scheduling a service with us, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by the following terms.
1. Service Overview
We understand that appliance issues can be disruptive and stressful. Our mission is to make the repair process as straightforward and transparent as possible. We strive to provide prompt, professional, and high-quality service to restore your appliance to working order.
2. Pricing and Fee Structure
2.1 Trip Fee
A non-refundable trip fee of $59 is charged for all service visits. This fee includes the technician's visit and diagnostic assessment of the appliance issue.
2.2 Repair Pricing
After diagnosis, our technician will provide a quote based on the complexity of the repair:
Small Repairs: Flat rate of $59
Average Repairs: Flat rate of $99
Large Repairs: Starting at $199 (final price may vary based on appliance condition and repair scope)
We believe our pricing reflects both the value and quality of our services.
3. Mileage Fee
Appointments scheduled outside a 25 km radius from Brooks City Centre will incur a mileage fee of $0.75 per kilometre (one-way). The mileage charge is applied per visit.
Example: A customer in Rosemary (30.5 km from Brooks) would incur a mileage fee of:
30.5 km × $0.75 = $22.88
4. Warranty Policy
Scott’s Appliance Services offers a 30-day warranty on both parts and labour provided during the original service.
This warranty applies only to the parts and services provided by our technicians.
Any third-party modifications or subsequent repairs not performed by us void this warranty.
If a covered part fails within 30 days, we will repair or replace it at no additional charge.
5. Replacement Part Guarantee
If a replacement part installed by us does not resolve the appliance issue, we will refund 50% of the cost of that part.
This guarantee does not cover labour or service fees.
We reserve the right to inspect the appliance and validate the issue prior to issuing a refund.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
Ensuring accessibility to the appliance at the scheduled appointment time.
Providing accurate information regarding the appliance and the issue.
Paying all fees due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Privacy Policy
Scott’s Appliance Services respects your privacy. We collect only the information necessary to provide our services, including:
Scheduling appointments
Processing payments
Providing service updates or promotions
